All-Time Great Concert

Farm Aid IV

Apr 7, 1990 (36 years ago)

Hoosier Dome (1984 - 1994)     Indianapolis, Indiana, United States

After Wille Nelson took Farm Aid on tour in 1989, the benefit concert returned to its roots as one-time annual event in 1990. Farm Aid IV was notable for broadening its focus beyond farmers to include the larger environment while Steven Adler performed live for the final time with Guns N' Roses at this show and Elton John made a surprise appearance, dedicating his performance of "Candle in the Wind" to Ryan White, an 18-year old AIDS patient and activist. Soviet Union rock band Gorky Park even showed up to play a set.
