I remember that it was a revolving stage, which was new to me, and after the opening notes he started singing "Purple Haze" just as he was facing in our direction.

A mind blower!! Went down to the stage right before Jimi came out. We were feet away as he walked by, sporting a short hair look., which shocked us. I'll never forget Red House....
