Named in homage to both the Grateful Dead and Velvet Underground, which both used the name "The Warlocks" during the early years of the respective bands, The Warlocks combines a range of avant garde-inspired elements to create its own unique and consistently evolving sound. Bobby Hecksher, founder of the band, has remained its only consistent member since the band's formation.
