Agent Elf first came about in 2001, but the guitarists Hasan and Paul have been writing music since before that. When their original drummer left in 2005, a new drummer, Jess, was quickly recruited. After that the band went off in a new musical direction and became a more experimental band that embraced a much broader and eclectic spectrum of music.
