Big Black Cloud (originally known as Here Comes a Big Black Cloud) is a garage punk band from Portland, Oregon that formed in 2005 after many of its original members fled Louisiana during the Hurricane Katrina disaster. The original line-up consisted of Nick Capello on guitar, vocals and keyboards; Soo Koelbli on bass and vocals; Travis Wainwright on drums; and Ben "Sauce" Applebaum on keyboards, theremin and vocals. Dain Marx was promptly added to the original line-up on bass, keyboards, and eventually guitar, along with a number of dancers.
