The Black Veils is a duo whose main purpose is to experiment with music and lyrics. They call themselves a "project" rather than a band. Their current project involves the translation, as opposed to adaptation, of music and its sentiment from other languages into English. Their goal is to preserve the essential lyrical, melodic, and emotional qualities that made the songs recognized in the place where they were originally composed and born. They are currently identifying artists to perform their translations in English.
