The Blue Guitars (Deventer, Holland) form in '88 by brothers Dick and Bert Dykman as a duo, later a trio and finally in '90 as a quartet. They release their first single on a small dutch vinyl label called KELT. The band gets signed by Play It Again Sam Records and team up with former Pere Ubu and Red Krayola genius Mayo Thompson to record their selfcalled debut (91). They tour extensively, record their Second album "Shellfish"(92), play a couple of festivals (Roskilde, Denmark) and keep on touring.
