CAO is the solo project of Peruvian electronic music composer Constanza Nunez-Melgar, aka Constanza Bizraellithe. Drawing influences from cosmic disco, minimal synth, and black metal, CAO describes her own sound as “blackened amazonic techno” routed in abstract ritual. Based between Lima and London, she released her debut “Marginal Virgin”, an album full of abrasive and heavily hypnotic electronics, last year via Basic House’s UK-based DIY imprint Opal Tapes.
