Darrick Thompson’s music combines pop, folk, and blues themes, accented with a uniquely original sound and style. In a live setting he performs both as a solo musician as well as with his band, depending on the situation. Thompson’s career began in early 2007 after a life-changing journey to Catanduva, Brazil where he wrote a majority of his debut album I Was An Aeroplane. While in Brazil, Thompson spent extensive time traveling about the country and educating himself as a musician and more so as a person.
