Originally known as "Nude Lady with Foam", the band formed in 1978 when Ken O'Keefe transported his drum kit over to guitarist Don Carlow's house in Crown Heights, a Poughkeepsie, NY suburb. They were joined by Neal Spaulding on the electric bass. Two years later, Carlow left Poughkeepsie for a position at Carvel Ice Cream in Florida. He was replaced with Kevin Quinn who took up the electric bass while Neal moved nonchalantly into the guitar slot.
