Dolly Rebecca Parton (January 19, 1946 - August 25, 2026) was a country music icon who began her career as a child, appearing on The Cat Walker Show by 10 and performing at the Grand Ole Opry at 13 where Johnny Cash encouraged her to continue her music career. Over the next 60+ years, Dolly Parton she released nearly 50 studio albums and 200 singles. She also adventured into acting, appearing in 12 films during her life. On August 25, 2026, Dolly Parton passed away peacefully at her home south of Nashville, Tennessee, but long before her death, she had already been crowned the the "Queen of Country".
