Growing up in rural Suffolk, England, Eloïse was always drawn to the more depressing and tragic roles over musical theatre. She sought out drama and emotional honesty of these roles and translated this into songwriting. Taking influence from Lady Gaga, David Bowie and Lana Del Rey she learned that making music could be like making a film, building a story and a world with characters.
