Starting around 2000 in the southern city of Kaohsiung, Fire Ex. converted to punk rock after seeing the old school Taichung band Reproduction open for Japanese pop punk girl band Softball perform at the 2002 Say Yes to Taiwan concert. Known as one of the most dedicated bands on Taiwan, Fire Ex. have recorded several demo EPs and appeared on a compilation from the skate punk label Fei Records before seeing commercial success with their first full-length Let's Go!.
