Newcastle based rockband Forgodsake came to life in the early 90ies when The Shotgun Brides members Steve Wallace (guitar), Drew Gallon (bass) and Gary Binns (drums) formed a "new version" of their band with singer Kevin Ridley (ex-The Screen Idols) and guitarist Chris McCormack (ex-Gunslinger, brother of The Wildhearts bassist Danny McCormack). After playing a few gigs as The Shotgun Brides, the band decided to change their name to Forgodsake. Forgodsake signed to Bleeding Hearts records and released their debut album "Blasthead" in 1993.
