Greater Sirens are a postpunk/new wave-influenced indie rock band formed in 2007 by brothers Greg and Tim Andresen, who had been playing together for about ten years. Greg’s guitar-esque bass-playing paired with Tim’s dynamic drumming helped shape the unique sound of the band. Nastaran Amini and Matt Whitbred, both friends of Greg and Tim, joined the following year. Matt assumed the role of a more conventional bassist, while Nastaran took over on keyboards.
