Als tweejarige jongen stond hij al op de tafel te zingen. Henk Dissel is nu bijna twintig en hij zingt nog steeds. In 2004 had Henk zijn eerste grote optreden in het Figi theater in Zeist. Drie jaar later ontmoette Henk in datzelfde theater tekstschrijver Emile Hartkamp. Henk werd uitgenodigd om een nummer op te nemen. Met dit liedje, ‘De route van mijn leven’, heeft de jonge Zeistenaar de jury van Sterren.nl Academy overtuigd van zijn zangtalent.
