Lightlooms, a post-piano-rock band from Denver, formed after a serendipitous meeting between Meaghan Lillis (vocals/piano) and Joshua Gunslinger (guitar/ambient sounds) at a local bookstore. The two soon found musical common ground and began writing atmospheric piano-pop songs together. Eventually Chris Durant (drums) and Zack Martinson (bass) joined the group, creating a more dynamic and expressive sound. Together the group combines classically trained piano playing and emotive vocals with abstract guitar layers and polyrhythmic percussion.
