Los Gardelitos se formaron inicialmente en el año 1996 en el Bajo Flores, con Korneta Suárez (voz y guitarra), Eli Suárez (guitarra y voz), Jorge Rossi (bajo) y Bruno Suárez (batería). Debutaron el 25 de mayo de ése año con un show en Ciudad Oculta y, al mes siguiente, registraron su primer demo.
