Mamushkas se formó en el 2001 como un desprendimiento de Pirata Industrial. Después de que pasaran varios músicos, la banda quedó conformada por: Tomás Loiseau (Voz y Bajo), Charly de la Vega (Batería), Luciano Taffetani (Guitarra) y Pablo Chala Narezo (Coros, delay, y guitarra). El debut de Mamushkas fue en Diciembre de 2001 en el Salón Pueyrredón.
