Mario Guacaran is a harpist. He started to meet with musicians who had a strong attachment to the traditions of the Llanos region of Venezuela. Later he came to Europe to pursue his studies at the School of Graphic Arts in Paris. But he soon decided to devote himself professionally to the music of the Venezuelan Plains.
