Thrash metal grubu Metalium, 1987'de Mazhar Şiringöz tarafından kuruldu. 1989 yılında çıkardıkları Türkiye'nin ilk heavy metal demolarından birisi olan "Servants Of Death" ile Türkiye çapında tanındılar. Demo sonrası Mazhar Şiringöz hariç tüm elemanlar gruptan koptu. Metalium, yeni bir oluşum içine girdi. Fiasco davulcusu Melih Rona, Reaktör gitaristi Kaan Süersan ve Kronik basçısı Özgünay Ünal gruba dahil oldular. Grup bu kadrosuyla "Behind The Power" (1990) adlı ilk albümünü kaydetti.
