Model 101 is een progressieve groovende metal band uit verschillende delen van Nederland. Hun spel bestaat uit brute beukende ritmische riffs, betoverende melodieën, innoverende beats en samples en bloedstollende grunts en schreeuwen. De eerste officiële demo is in 2007 een feit, en in 2008 ziet de EP getiteld Cold Approach het daglicht. Deze plaat is geproduceerd en gemixed door Vincent van Haperen en bestaat uit zes knallende nummers. Deze zijn gemastered door Jochem Jacobs (Textures) in zijn Split Second Sound studio.
