Niko Rubio's journey through music reflects her willingness to experiment and a diversity of influences. Growing up in a Mexican/Salvadorean-rooted househould, Rubio instead found a niche first as a songwriter of alt-rock an even country before sliding into an alt-pop persona of her own.
