Pete Sinfield is one of the pioneers of Prog Rock. He was the lyricist and keyboard player for King Crimson during their first 4 albums (1969-1974). Whilst his solo work (Still, 1973, as you'd expect the words are good, but the music is average) did not have much success, post-Crimson he remained active in Music, writing for Emerson, Lake and Palmer, as well as producing Roxy music's first album.
