East LA natives Israel Ramirez and Chris Conde founded Regime Noir with the purpose to be a band reflective of the city of Angels. Their sound ranges from prog, electro funk, flamenco, mariachi, dub, served with a punk edge and attitude. With a cold war like aura and dystopian lyrical themes, LA Weekly suggest they are a “thinking band without hitting us over the head”. They add, their music embodies a “multicultural mashup [with] momentum and a genuine sense of flab-free sonic purpose”.
