Formed as a project of former Gong bassist Mike Howlett, the short-lived Strontium 90 was responsible for bringing together Andy Summers with 2 of the recently formed members of The Police – Sting and Stewart Copeland for the first time. These three soon went on to form the final line-up of The Police.
