Temper City was founded in 2021 by singer-songwriter Eytan Peled and the production duo Sync (comprising Aviv Barenholtz and Chen Kordova). The three friends had previously collaborated successfully behind the scenes, writing songs for pop and EDM artists such as Zeds Dead, Dimitri Vegas, and Barns Courtney. Having already composed music together as a trio, they decided to transition their partnership into a band of their own.
