The Apologists are long time musicians, friends and married couple Citizen Smite and Joanna Costello. It all began about five years ago when Smite was finishing his project "The 7 Deadly Sins". A complex and sample heavy hour of nonstop music and a full year in the making. Absolutely burnt out on sample chops, scratching and break flipping Smite decided that for the last song on the album he would go back to his roots as a live musician, dust off his guitar and write a short jazz number.
