The Hard Goodbye is the brainchild of Chicago born singer/songwriter Matt Benware. Benware played in groups such as 45 and a Shovel, Bomb Canada and various solo endeavors before forming The Hard Goodbye in the mid '00s with Venice, CA locals Ethan Walter and Jesse Richardson. Currently located in Los Angeles, CA, the band is preparing for their third studio recording to follow up 2007's "Everybody Wins." The Hard is Matthew Benware (lead vocals/guitar), Spencer Watson Jr.
