In 2005, We Are Warm formed in Chicago with Derrick Streibig on guitar and vocals, Charlie Hogland on drums, and Pat Ritter on bass, performing as Festival. After relocating to San Diego, Streibig spent 2007 - 2010 recording solo, before returning to Saint Louis to unite with the full band, renaming themselves We Are Warm. In addition to Hogland, Ritter, and Streibig, guitarist Geoff Naunheim, vocalist Phillip Twitchell, and pianist Jake Elking joined to fill out the vast and adventurous sounds desired.
