 G.G.Allin1776 Worked load-in/load-out on this, got some sun poisoning & here I thought Gretchen was staring at my sweaty manliness. Maybe both😅 Either way they treated us like gold with the rider (served in the Patriots dining hall) 24hrs a day anything from steak & lobster to sushi & breakfast (of massive proportions). They kept retail store sized coolers full of every type of Gatorade/ Powerade/ brand of water you can imagine stocked all over the field as we worked, even Pedialyte.  G.G.Allin1776 That show was a trip. If I could do it over again, acid would be involved but it wouldn't be in Massachusetts. As soon as we crossed the state line, mass statie pulls us over "for an illegal exhaust" (it wasn't), pulls his gun on me & out the window I go by my hair. Boycott Mass.  G.G.Allin1776 First Metallica show, wasn't bad especially considering the album for which they were touring. Not being familiar with their dumb stunts, 15 year old me was pretty freaked out when the lighting began "collapsing" & santa fell from the rafters, a rope around his ankle. Don't recall how long he was swinging there, however that bs took up at least 30 mins. Corrosion of Conformity fn kicked a** as usual. James came out for Wiseblood. Almost went backstage as a classmate, Steph, her father was the promoter & invited me back. To my utter shock, the two idiots I was with said no "We have a curfew". That chic was cute too, wtf. Could've partied with her, Metallica & C.O.C., but noooo. Last time I let some knuckleheads stop me from heading backstage, including security. My mom had to get the tickets for me at Filene's in the old Naugatuck Valley Mall, lucky I got tix because they were gone in 3 minutes. Some sort of record was set with how fast they disappeared. Once Van Hagar started playing, my drunken 14 year old brain was trying to comprehend why so many people were smoking rocks in strange little glass tubes.  G.G.Allin1776 Attached photos are from Waterbury Republican-American article the following day, apparently the bimbo "journalist" didn't like Jeff Hanneman. Went for my birthday, ALONE, as no one would go, even for a free ticket. Those losers really missed out, Fear Factory & SLAYER were awesome. There were different "levels" of pits for SLAYER, the little guy pit, the kids pit, average guy pit, crazy pit, giants only pit & the craziest one had all the jacked dudes moshing throwing around anyone from the other pits whom dared to enter. Typical sight was crazy steroid guys moshing with unconscious dude on his shoulder. Sabbath was ok, probably the best performance they gave during the numerous times I've seen them.  G.G.Allin1776 Had to drive from CT because Pantera was banned from the only amphitheatre due to the '97 show where we destroyed the venue. Blew the engine in my '78 Nova on the way up, got harassed by jerk state cops all day, scumhound tow truck driver impounded my car because I couldn't pay $700 tow bill back home. Still have the bill just to get the last few items from my car that the tow company didn't steal, so I will get my revenge on the a**hole who took it & sold it. STILL MADE IT FOR PANTERA'S FULL SET THOUGH! Saw Dime & Rex coming through the crowd drinking, but couldn't get their attention because of security.  G.G.Allin1776 My first Pantera show & got Dime's guitar pick (pic attached). We DESTROYED the meadows, only having the indoor section, both the cops & security fled once we really got going.
