 martin driver Rutland Boughton (23 January 1878 – 25 January 1960) was a resident of Jordans. This concert celebrated a new recording of his piano trio by the English Piano Trio. The audience was joined Rutland Boughton's grandson. Rutland Boughton was an influential member of the Communist Party of Great Britain. This caused his music to be marginalised.  Angela3950 Rick Gould, the guitarist in Stack, was my boyfriend at the time and he brought me to see him play, I had no idea who Alice Cooper was. Seeing Alice Cooper before they were famous still blows my mind. Also, I had such a vivid memory of the night but I had NO physical proof, ticket, flyer or photo. I was pretty sure it was the White Room; we went there a LOT. Rick played there a lot!  wedgewill I remember this show pretty vividly. It was still more than a year out from Smashing Pumpkins releasing Siamese Dream. Even though Gish had been out for awhile, nobody in OKC really knew who they were. I certainly didn't. As I recall they played a couple songs and they did not sound good. There was a chorus of boos raining down and they cut their set very short and got combative with the crowd before leaving. Then I remember sitting in that upper deck seat for what seemed like an eternity waiting for GnR to come out. I think it was close to midnight before they started. It was a crazy late night!
