 trey_merrill The coffin act was cool as hell. I was in L.A. on business (mid-20s and by myself). I thought “to hell with sitting by myself in a hotel room on NYE” and (by fluke) recognized his name from somewhere….and knew 1 song. Figured I’d go see a 50’s blues act and was BLOWN THE FK AWAY!!! Sat with a couple who I befriended and it was one of the best NYE’s ever….probably because it was so unexpected. …and to think it all started with a coffin entering the room (that you helped carry).  Becky Lomax Lionart60, I was 17, and I met the boy, who was 18, that I would go on to marry. Believe me, it was Sunday June 10th, 1979. I flew home the next day, Monday, and the guy I met, Jay, hitchhiked back to his home. We stayed in touch, married, had three kids and now have 3 grandkids.  Washington Cabral Ozzy's set this day had a special energy and happiness. Probably half way through the set, he announced that have recently received the news that Sharon got back her medical exam results confirming she was finally free of cancer.
