 Faye D This was a good show by both bands, but the acts were pretty mismatched. Huey Lewis did a good job, this was just before he hit it big, but the biker crowd that showed up for the Doobies definitely did not appreciate his talents.  Faye D This show actually got bad reviews in the Star Tribune. I thought he kicked butt. His voice was great, very powerful still and he stood up there for hours, singing, without relying on a lot of chatter and storytelling to pad the time. He sang long and he sang well. I think it’s pretty pathetic when people knock an old man’s performance because he’s not dancing and performing tricks while he sings for them. This was an excellent show and I’d go see him again.  Faye D This is one of the worst concerts I have ever seen. I’m a big fan the Clash’s music, but this was bad. The music was loud and distorted, it didn’t look like the band knew the set list, so there wasn’t a smooth transition from song to song. I guess the band was going through a lot of internal strife at the time and I think Topper Headon and Mick Jones both left sometime around then, but either way, the show was bad.
