Gregory Linton This show we ran into Floyd, this was an exciting one with plenty of volume. System of a Down was new and blew us away. I met John Dolmayan in the vestibule after the show, I didn't have anything for him to sign, so he signed the paper part of my disposable camera. Also Jared Gomes the singer from Hed Pe, he signed my ticket. I remember several people needing to be taken out of the show due to injuries and overdose, it was a real mosh pit, many fists were thrown that night. The only band I didn't really like much was Spinkshank. Fear Factory / System of a Down / (hed) p.e. / Spineshank Mar 07, 2021
Gregory Linton The closest I've ever been to the stage so far, we were touching it, right at Daniel Ash feet, we could here him talking off mike, at one point he was mumbling about not remembering how one the songs starts out. I'm so glad to have been able to see them. Great setlist. Love And Rockets Mar 07, 2021
Gregory Linton This was the perfect show to open the new year, the fact that they did Prince song 1999 was so cool. They covered a lot of material, the bad sounded great, another favorite show to attend. Wish I'd seen them more often. Ween Mar 07, 2021
Gregory Linton This was one of those shows that I knew nothing about the band, it was also one of my favorite shows. EN is a German band, Blixa, the lead singer, sings in German and English and sometimes mixes both, his English is excellent, the band had an amazing assortment of things to play on stage, including a jet engine, a coal chute, lots of metal things. It was one of the louder shows I've been to, at least in the top 5, I remember my ears ringing for days. Blixa had said they were going to tour at the Troc a few years ago but they had to cancel due to the sound system not being up to snuff! They are loud, I became a fan after this show and at the time a member of their club. Headcleaner was one of the highlights of the show. It was the best. Einstürzende Neubauten Mar 07, 2021
Gregory Linton Joe got me into the Deftones, this was another memorable show, love shows at the Electric Factory as it was called then. Derrick saw some guy inside pushing the guys girlfriend around, and he stepped in and punched him in the face, so he got kicked out before the show even started. They were real loud and Chino was still diving into the audience at the time, also Joe's friend Adam ended up crowd surfing and I think he touched chino at one point. Deftones Mar 07, 2021
Gregory Linton First time seeing Marilyn Manson, it was an event, we took a limo, which was a whole other event, I remember Julie drinking all the way there in the limo, I remember Olivia who had a camera but couldn't get in with it and the lime had already pulled away so we hide it in the bushes, she also got sick as soon as the limo door opened. Once we got seated, and the show started, Julie imeadiatly fell asleep and then when the show was over woke up. It was a big crowd. The show included all of Manson's antics, the sound was great even though we weren't real close. After the show we went to get in the limo and the police stopped him before he pulled away, the police asked us if he had been drinking, which was a shock, but we didn't know if he had or not, so we just said no, and he let us go, also I remember the driver because he had one arm. It was a fun show. Justin, Mary, Joe, Shawna, Julie, Olivia and another girl I can't remember her name from the computer room. Marilyn Manson / 12 rounds Mar 07, 2021
Louise Boughton Hi, I am blown away by your list of gigs! Wow! Rod Stewart and the Faces Mar 07, 2021
Gregory Linton First time seeing them, the show opened with Peter Murphys disembodied head on a tv on stage, I remember during Hollow Hills there were light bulbs hanging down from the stage. Peter sounded amazing and the audience was very excited. I got my autographed Bela cd, it has boys on it as well. Ziggy Stardust was also amazing to hear. One of my favorite shows ever. Bauhaus Mar 07, 2021
Gregory Linton Two songs that standout above the rest, all of 2112!!! And Natural Science, which I always loved so much. They also play a lot of songs this show, Test For Echo I think is really under rated. Rush Mar 07, 2021
Gregory Linton We were not as close as last time but the shows are so large and the sound system so good that it doesn't really matter. Hearing all of Shine On You Crazy Diamond was awesome. David plays perfectly through out these shows, he is a top notch guitar player. Pink Floyd Mar 07, 2021
Sabrina Phillips Hill This show was not at the Pensacola Civic Center, it was at the Mobile Civic Center Stone Temple Pilots Mar 07, 2021
Gregory Linton It was funny to hear someone singing on a backing track for Time Stand Still, too bad Aimee couldn't tour with them. The video for Roll the Bones was great, I love how much attention to detail they put into the show. Mystic Rhythms had the veil of light at the front of the stage, never seen that before, in fact their light show was second only to Pink Floyd. It was great to hear part of Cygnus. It must be so hard to put together a setlist that covers old and new whey you have so much. Rush / Candlebox Mar 07, 2021
Gregory Linton This was the 2nd time I'd seen Metallica, and they were very tight. It seemed like Kirk Hammet soloed through the entire show, not a bad thing, he played all the songs perfectly but he just added a lot more to each. I was surprised to see how good James was on drums, I didn't even know he play the drums. It was such great mix of old and new music. Metallica Mar 07, 2021
