 optimusprimerib I almost fought the heckler sitting next to me (Cornell intervened, thankfully), and the tweeker chick one row up thought rifling through her purse was better than watching Chris & Bryan's show.  optimusprimerib My buddy, Kefra, got to go on stage and sing with Pennywise. He was stoked and that's actually how we met, as I learned he was from my area and tracked him down to give him the pictures I'd taken. RIP Kef. Lars was kind enough to pull me backstage so I could be close as Rancid played, then I pretty much just hung out backstage here and there after getting a few passes from Randy Bradbury. His wife's name is the same as my step-daughter's, by the way. Fletcher offered my friends and I some "beers", but their cooler was stocked with nothing but Zimas, so we passed. I had a beer anyway. So I'm sitting in Pennywise' tour bus after that and some girls came knocking at the door. Everyone but Jim was there (he was puking at the hotel, I guess), and they all asked that I let the girls in since I was closest to the door. In came the pair of ladies, who asked the guys to sign their jeans. Nice girls, whom I would discover, were from my town. When they for some reason turned to me and asked for a signature, I said "Sure! Bend over!" and I signed their inner thighs. I always hoped to run into them some day, but never have.  optimusprimerib We arrived early the morning of and pulled around back of the venue to grab some shut eye. Next thing I know, we're being surrounded by tour vehicles and all the band/crew starts piling out to go inside and eat breakfast. So I joined them. Sat next to Fat Mike and nobody batted an eye. I told him I'd need a few passes later if my local friends ended up showing. Stood center front awaiting Bad Religion to come on and talked with this kid, who was a huge BR fan, so I acted dumb and said I'd never heard of them. As Jay Bentley came out to set cabling, I yelled to him and tossed my instant camera his way/asked him to take our picture. He did. The kid next to me was in shock. Afterward, as I was drinking a beer and talking with Jay, this obnoxious woman came up and interrupted us, asking for a signature, I believe. So I poured my beer over her head. Later, I'm backstage and manage to flag Mike down. He hands me a small stack of passes, reconsiders, then takes two back, leaving me with three. Vans Warped Tour Feb 02, 2021
