 kwyjibo2112 This was my very first rock concert. It was a freezing Saturday night in Rochester but as soon as we walked in and staked out our spot about 15 feet from the stage on stage left, we noticed that there were scores of girls (and women) walking around in just their bras or bikini tops. This was definitely going to be a chick show. It was supposed to start at 8 pm, but around 8:30, they announced that one of the equipment trucks was late for some reason and it should start around 9ish. Kix was ok but everyone wanted to see Whitesnake. Steve Vai was filling in for Adrian Van Den Berg, who broke his wrist skate boarding or something like that. We were 15 away from Steve Vai. What a show he put on. The other guys were good, too. LOL. About half way thru the show, people all around the arena started flicking their cigarettes down on the people below. After I got hit by one, I turned around to see what it was and there were little red dots raining down from the upper seats. It looked kinda cool, but it hurt. And if one landed in some chicks big, hair-sprayed hair, it would have gone up in flames. After almost 30 years, it all seems so clear in my mind like it was last week.  kwyjibo2112 My first time seeing RUSH and was scheduled on my 19th birthday!! Pushed back 9 days as Geddy was sick. Thanks a lot, Ged. Mr. Big, with The Billy Sheehan on bass, open the show. We had seats at stage level, across the arena from the stage. Perfect seats! Had binoculars during Billy's bass solo and Neil's drum solo. 2 dreams come true in one night!  Hilton807 I was there. I was a junior in high school. I had attended a few concerts before this, but I had never heard anything so loud in my life. Not a concert, nothing. I was ina garage band by then, but even sitting in front of my guitar amp couldn’t produce the sound pressure levels I heard that night. A rough crowd, too.  kwyjibo2112 Front row balcony, right of center. WOW!! My brother and I saw Nick back in 1994 in Toronto at the C.N.E. on the Division Bell Tour. The ushers in our area were quick to stop any videoing but I was able to get some decent photos. I set my audio recording gear on the balcony ledge and it came out really nice.
