naaki soul’s music emerged from the industrial heart of Beijing, CN as nothing more than a high school recording project in a shoebox apartment. For the most part, the singer-songwriter spent her teenage years making songs on her laptop through a stolen interface. Longing for community, she spent all her waking hours on internet forums and sang over first demos through a makeshift pop filter fashioned from panties stretched over a bent coat hanger.
