Played country all through college with a good friend of mine in Lubbock, TX. Mike Conroy and I played at the original Stubbs Bar b que. Had to go back to the old motel around back to ask him if we could play. I remember his silloette taking up the whole doorway with the blue glow of the TV like an Aura around him.
