Based in Seattle, Washington, the band originally consisted of Haggerty as lead singer and guitarist, keyboardist Michael Carr, singer and fiddler Eve Morris and guitarist Robert Hammerstrom. They were a groundbreaking act in country for their explicitly queer lyrics and activism.
