Anaal Nathrakh is a British extreme metal band formed in Birmingham, England, in 1999 by multi-instrumentalist Mick Kenney (known early as Irrumator) and vocalist Dave Hunt (also known as V.I.T.R.I.O.L.). The band's name is derived from the Irish phrase "anál nathrach," meaning "serpent’s breath," famously featured in the incantation from John Boorman's 1981 film "Excalibur." Anaal Nathrakh is recognized for blending elements of black metal, grindcore, industrial, and death metal.
