Hailing from Marl/Recklinghausen, Germany, The Multicoloured Shades were an underground band formed in 1984. Their garage-psychedelic sound was renowned far beyond the borders of the Ruhr region. Their live performances thrilled audiences and brought concert venues to a fever pitch, driven in no small part by the charismatic stage presence of frontman Pete Barany. Their first two LPs were released on the independent label "Last Chance" and produced regional hits such as "Miss Terry Shade.
