 Víctor Terrazas Rufus T. Firefly tiene una cualidad en su música que seguramente sea de las más difíciles de alcanzar: sus canciones pesan más que quienes las interpretan. Si uno intenta abrazarlas, no es raro que acaben ellas abrazándote a ti. Una cualidad extraña, que escapa a la lógica y a los tiempos del presente. Te mecen. Te mantienen en una especie de limbo emocional, sin prisas ni estridencias. No están pensadas para la expulsión de dopamina instantánea. No están hechas para entretener.  Brother Bristone Funny/not funny the ticket stub says "don't be late"... I was working on a dude ranch in sw Colorado that summer of 98 and rounded up a few friends to make the 7 hr drive to Denver for this further date - piled in my old Pathfinder to cross the Rockies - beautiful stoney drive until we turn the wrong way out of a gas station and before you know it we're in Gunnison - an hour+ out of the way - u turn to get back on track (years before gps) when we finally make it to fiddlers green the Other Ones are finishing up the encore Ripple, a sad finale to say the least. Scored some psychedelics in the lot to make something of it and headed out to Red Rocks to pass the night under the stars, with live tapes to suffice... that's the epitome of 'no left turn unstoned'!
