Ric Kilmer I walked up to the tour bus to get my Hank Ballard LP jacket signed, and Hank happily invited me aboard to meet the band. Many signed my LP jacket and Hank took a photo with me (which I just uploaded). What a gracious and wonderful man, and rock 'n roll pioneer! Hank Ballard And The Midnighters Dec 17, 2020
Ric Kilmer I think I also saw Etta James and k.d. lang this day at Bumbershoot, but I wouldn't swear under oath to it. I did see Crowded House a couple of days later. The Robert Cray Band Dec 17, 2020

Ric Kilmer I remember the sound mix and volume level to be the best I have ever heard in that cavernous venue. It was perfection! Douh! Stevie Wonder Dec 17, 2020
Ric Kilmer Or was this late 1977 at the Roxy? It was SO LONG ago. See: http://www.edensongs.com/recordings/setlists_1/BrandX_77dec17_2.jpg Brand X Dec 17, 2020
Ric Kilmer I attended one of these two nights. I went because, as a huge Genesis fan, I thought Phil Collins was in the band at the time. But sources say otherwise: http://www.edensongs.com/recordings/BrandX_Performances.html Brand X Dec 17, 2020
Ric Kilmer The guys wore really colorful and flamboyant costumes, as I recall. Or was that a later Bumbershoot appearance? I stood right in center front and real close. Crowded House Dec 16, 2020
Ric Kilmer Found a source that says Nov. 15, 1986: https://www.setlist.fm/setlist/crowded-house/1986/unknown-venue-seattle-wa-43fb173b.html (I still have the poster signed by all but the drummed.) Crowded House Dec 16, 2020
Ric Kilmer I don't know what it was, because I wasn't a super Faces music fan. But to this day in 2020 I still remember this as one of the greatest rock concerts ever. Something about the way Rod Stewart commanded the stage and sang, the intimate sound, or whatever. "Awesome" as they would say today. Rod Stewart / Faces Dec 16, 2020

Ric Kilmer Of all the NY shows I've seen, this one was perhaps the best, because it was in my old hometown where I first became a NY fan in 1969, plus he broke out some seldom-heard chestnuts from his vast catalog. Neil Young / Death Cab for Cutie Dec 16, 2020

Ric Kilmer Uncertain of the date. A brand-new band that I liked a lot. After the show they all came out to greet what was left of the crowd. I got autographs that I later gave to my pal John, who had turned me on to them. Crowded House Dec 16, 2020
